FX Halo Slugs – 7.62 mm (.30) – 46 Grain

The FX Halo Slugs 7.62 mm (.30) – 46 grain are designed to combine the characteristics of traditional slugs with the familiar weight range of pellets. Their slug-shaped profile provides the ballistic advantages associated with slugs, while the relatively low weight makes them easier to use with standard pellet-oriented airgun setups.

FX developed the Halo Slugs with ease of use in mind. They are optimized to perform with a normal pellet tune at approximately 270–285 m/s (885–935 fps). This means that, in compatible setups, no dedicated slug tune is required when switching between conventional pellets and FX Halo Slugs.

The Halo Slugs are suitable for both the FX Superior Barrel Liner and the FX Superior Heavy Barrel Liner. This allows shooters to alternate between pellets and Halo Slugs without necessarily changing the barrel liner or hammer spring configuration.

Their aerodynamic slug profile offers improved resistance to wind compared with conventional pellets, helping provide more consistent performance and accuracy at longer distances.

The deep hollow-point design allows the projectile to expand significantly on impact, helping transfer as much of its retained energy as possible to the target.

With their combination of slug-style aerodynamics, pellet-like weight and compatibility with standard FX pellet tunes, the FX Halo Slugs provide a practical option for shooters looking to transition between pellets and slugs without extensive setup changes.
